What you need

An iPhone Duo with iOS 27.1 or later. WaffleKing uses the fold as the hinge of the waffle iron, so it can’t be played on iPhones that don’t fold.

How to play

1. Open your iPhone Duo and pick a mode on the menu: Quick Waffle, Shop Shift or Daily Challenge.
2. When the iron is hot, touch and hold the lower half to pour the batter. Not too little, not too much.
3. Fold the phone shut. The cover display shows the closed iron, with its light, steam and, eventually, smoke.
4. Open it at the right moment. Too early: goo. Too late: smoke. Just right: golden.

The app says the Waffle King is sorry.

You are on an iPhone without a fold. WaffleKing needs iPhone Duo.

My waffle sticks and comes out in pieces.

The iron wasn’t hot enough when you poured. After starting the app, give it a few seconds to heat up. An iron left waiting for more than about a minute also cools down.

When does the Daily Challenge change?

At midnight UTC (01:00 in Central Europe in winter, 02:00 in summer). You get one try per day; leaving before you pour doesn’t use it.

Leaderboards and achievements don’t show.

Sign in to Game Center in the Settings app (Settings › Game Center), then open WaffleKing again.

I can’t hear anything.

WaffleKing follows the silent switch. Turn silent mode off to hear the sizzle.
